Don’t Confuse Milk Allergies with Being Lactose Intolerant
Wednesday, March 19th, 2008Infant milk allergies are caused by proteins found in cow’s milk and not the breast milk of a mother. Women whose babies suffer from this allergy should reduce their own intake of milk since this milk protein is passed directly onto the baby through the mothers breast milk. This allergy should not be confused with being lactose intolerant which is an adverse reaction to milk sugar present in sheep, goat and cow’s milk. Many adults also suffer from this.
