While some sufferers of social phobia manage to get by life without too much difficulty, some may struggle in Controlling panic attacks and desperately need help. Learning to stop these thoughts can take time but essentially to get over social anxiety a person needs to recondition them. Observe others and realize that you’re not being watched and learn to be comfortable in your own skin. Socialize with people you feel comfortable with as much as possible and then try and meet other people. Get active; join a fitness class, go swimming or go for a hike.

Use distraction methods if you find it difficult to let go of worrying thoughts. Practice breathing exercises daily to give yourself a break from stress and tension. When you feel anxious in any particular situation, begin to breathe deeply and count to ten. Reducing anxiety and controlling panic attacks through breathing can be surprisingly effective.
