If your legs are your primary objective, do leg and feet exercises as the center of your focus. You will better perform in sports by doing some of these exercises to strengthen your legs.

Squat Workout

If you want strengthened thighs, this is one of the most valuable exercises you could do. With your calves and thighs strengthened, you’ll have a higher level of performance in the sports you play. Carry a barbell which is about half of the weight that you normally lift onto your shoulders and start your squats. Make sure you keep your back straight as you bend your knees to a sitting position, then push yourself back up. Take a break after doing the first set of reps, then you can come back to repeat the reps again. By consistently lifting each day, the weight you do will increase.

Hopping as an Exercise

This is a one-legged jump that will strengthen both your legs. Hop on one foot for 20 meters, jumping as far as you can with each stride until you reach the end. Repeat the same thing with the other leg. After doing each length, take a little break. This is great for strengthening thigh muscles and making calves resilient.

To Do Lunges

Stand with both feet about fifteen inches apart. It’s important that as you keep your back straight, move as an elevator would (dip straight down), and touch your right knee to the ground. Lift yourself to the original position and alternate back and forth between legs, giving each an equal amount of reps. Once your done with on set of repetitions, rest a little before doing another. Again this is a great exercise to keep your legs limber and strong.

With these advanced workout routines for your legs, you will strengthen them in no time and be able to perform in whatever sport you want to with greater ease and better performance. With the lunges, hops and squats you will be able to feel your legs stretching and tightening from your hips down to your toes, which only means that your body is getting the adequate exercise. By doing these routines daily, your legs will be ready for the next game or event you may have.
